I was born in Evansville, IN but grew up in Parke County (Rockville) and graduated High School from West Vigo.
I have had about every job imaginable from bar tender, server, prison guard to union carpenter. I also spent 9 years in the Indiana Army National Guard and served in the Gulf War '90-'91.
I got my start in broadcasting in 1991 when I returned from Desert Storm. My first on air job was at WZZQ where I simply changed the cd's and played the commercials for the show "In The Studio" and "Flashback". I eventually moved up to full time overnights and was paid the whopping sum of $3.35 an hour... I thought I was rich at the time. After about 2 years at WZZQ I picked up a part time position at Magic 101 (WMGI). After a short hiatus from radio...I moved to Evansville and picked up part time work at several stations while I was there... WYNG, WKDQ, WJPS, WABX & WIKY. After working in Evansville for about 5 years I got the opportunity to come back to Terre Haute as the Program Director and Morning show host of WTHC (Now WWSY The Valley). While working in Terre Haute I also picked up a position working in Indianapolis at WFMS for a short time. I worked here in Terre Haute for about 5 1/2 years and then moved to Champaign, IL to Program WXTT & WCFF. From Champaign I moved to Missoula, MT to take a position as Director of Programming and then a year later I got the opportunity to come back and be the Operations Manager for Midwest Communications here in Terre Haute (WMGI/WWSY/WIBQ/WPRS). I am glad my moving days are over and I have been back here since 2008...there truly is no place like home.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids and am active in coaching Baseball & Football.
That pretty much covers me in a nutshell. Radio...Wife...Kids...and that's about it...and I wouldn't change a thing.
