I keep dreaming that I am finding change everywhere on the floor.  And it’s not a little bit but a lot of change!  In my dreams this is how I make money to live.  Why am I always picking up change and not bills?   - Sabrina 31, Elizabeth Town, PA

Lauri:  These dreams are trying to tell you that you need to "make a change" somewhere in your life!  If you can find the pun or metaphor in your dream, then you have found the message!  What sort of change do you think it is that you need to make?  Most likely the change that needs to be made lies within your job or however you make income since this is how you made income in your dream.  Ask yourself how long you’ve been having this dream.  Whenever this dream started is when the change needed to be made.  Once you make the necessary changes in your life, the dream will stop because it has served its purpose and has no reason to come back.

Sabrina replies:  It makes sense! I have been wanting to get things together and open my own shop.  Maybe this is saying that I am ready for the change and to go ahead.  I am going to learn what I need to do to start my shop up now instead of being scared not too. Thank you!

A couple nights ago I had a very long dream, but only remember one part - an old chocolate lab dog walked up to me and I started petting her. She laid down on her back so I could rub her belly. I noticed her nipples were big, like she had been nursing puppies. I thought that was strange since she looked so old. As I reached down to pet her, milk started flowing out all over!   - Angi 33, Tampa, FL

Lauri:  Well, let's start with the obvious... are YOU pregnant or wanting to become pregnant? If not, then this dog may represent and "old" relationship (either friendship or a romantic relationship) or even a project that you are feeling the need to nurture again.  All that milk is your abundance of nurturing energy that is more than ready to feed this relationship or project.  Even the fact that the dog presented her belly to you is important.  It is the way you are telling yourself to go ahead and “belly on up” to the bar, so to speak, and get to work!

Angi replies:  I’m definitely not pregnant nor am I wanting to be.  But we are looking at buying a house and are considering getting a fixer-upper. I was thinking it might be an old property that would have new life under my hands. Thank you so much! I’ve really been enjoying your books. They’ve really been helping me remember my dreams and think about what they mean.

I was in a bathroom, sitting on the floor with my legs stretched out to measure them with a yardstick.  I notice a bug on the floor that seems small at first, then notice bigger wings, like a dragonfly.  It keeps changing, and now I want to get a closer look.  I think it looks like a small lizard with wings.  It suddenly jumps off the wall onto my neck.  I try to swat it off my neck, wondering if it is poisonous. - Kim 44, Cleveland, Ohio

Lauri:  Your dream takes place in the bathroom because there is a waking life frustration that you wish to “cleanse” yourself of.  Interesting that you are measuring legs.  Have you been wondering how you measure up against someone else?  Your legs are your ability to stand up for yourself as well as move forward toward your goals… or even move on from something you need to leave behind.  Have you been wondering if you’ve got what it takes to do any of the aforementioned? The little bug you see also indicates that something has been frustrating you, or “bugging” you.  It is something that – like the bug in your dream – is increasing in size.  It morphs into a lizard, a cold blooded, seemingly unemotional creature.  Is there anyone around you that you might describe this way?  It jumps on your neck for a reason.  Your neck/throat area is where your voice comes from.  Your dream is telling you to use your voice, speak up about what frustrates you; this is the only way to cleanse yourself of it.

Kim replies:  My work situation has become increasingly frustrating.  There are some people that are very negative and that has been "bugging me.”  I do feel that it is time for me to leave this behind, so I am wondering how I would measure up in trying to move forward to a new situation.  Your interpretation was very accurate.  You have opened up a whole new world to me.  I love tuning into my little movies that play nightly for help in my waking life!

Dear Lauri,
I dreamed I was in a cathedral and I kept pew hopping but I left my purse at my original spot and worried someone would take it. Then the whole church lined up for communion.  I was in front of a woman dressed as The Virgin Mary.  She was holding bread.  She fumbled and dropped the bread.  I turned to leave and I had to come down these tiny steep steps on which they had placed many glass candleholders.  As I came down I knocked all of them over.  There was broken glass everywhere and the priest was telling someone to go help that poor alter boy.   – Mallory 38, Cincinnati, OH

 

Lauri:  Your dream takes place in a cathedral because you are either currently dealing with a moral issue or something is going on that you need to have faith that it will turn out all right.  Your concern over your purse is either connected to financial concern or concern over yourself. Have you been having any sort of identity crisis lately? The bread being dropped also seems to point to a financial concern as we often refer to money as “bread” or “dough.”  The fumbling by Mary and you knocking the candles over are both related to a waking life “mistake” you have made or might make.  The broken glass is showing you the result of this slip up: something may come crashing down around you if you aren’t careful.

 

Mallory replies:  My husband is seriously considering quitting his job.  I am concerned over the responsibility of him being the only income in our home and the crash I fear it would mean for our family. I need to have faith not only in my husband but also in God that all will work out for the best.  Thank you.
