Video: More Super Bowl Ads Posted January 31, 2012 by Storm Avery

Here are a few more Super Bowl ads that have surfaced online:

1.)  There's an Acura commercial featuring JERRY SEINFELD, the Soup Nazi from "Seinfeld", and JAY LENO.  In the ad, Jerry finds out he's second on the waiting list for the new Acura, and tries to bribe the #1 guy to give up his spot.  It's pretty great.

2.)  REGIS PHILBIN pops up in a Pepsi Max ad about a Coke Zero delivery guy who "cheats" on Coke for Pepsi.  JENNIFER NETTLES of SUGARLAND covered HANK WILLIAMS' "Your Cheatin' Heart" for the spot.

3.)  There's also an H&M commercial featuring DAVID BECKHAM in his underwear.  Basically, he just stands there and looks hot while the camera moves around his body.  No complaints from me!

Are you excited about this year's Super Bowl commercials?  Or are you unimpressed so far?

Clint Eastwood's Family to Get Reality Show Posted December 15, 2011 by Storm Avery

If you're sick of the KARDASHIAN family, the BAD news is that they're probably not going away anytime soon . . . but the GOOD news is that E! may have found the next "celebrity family" for everyone to obsess over.

There's talk that E! is developing a show kinda like "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" . . . featuring CLINT EASTWOOD'S family.

The show will star Clint's wife, Dina, and his two youngest kids:  18 year old Francesca and 15 year old Morgan.  This is supposedly worthy of TV because it will allow us to "explore what it's like to live in a family of 'Hollywood royalty.'"

Clint has reportedly agreed to make a few cameo appearances, but he won't be a main character.  So-called "sources" say producers are hoping to have the show on the air within the next few months.

By the way, there's no title yet.

(In all, Clint has seven children with five different women.  Now, THAT could be interesting!)

The Sexiest Woman of All Time is... Posted December 12, 2011 by Storm Avery

"Men's Health" Magazine has named JENNIFER ANISTON the Sexiest Woman of All Time.

Aniston reveals to the magazine that the "least sexy" character she's played was Ferris Bueller's sister in the TV version of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" . . . which aired from 1990 to 1991.

Jennifer also gives her own pick for the sexiest woman of all time.  She says, "It's a tie between Brigitte Bardot and Gloria Steinem.  But if I had to choose one, I'd say Gloria because, well, she's the full package.  That's sexy."

What makes a MAN sexy?  Jennifer says, "If he can make me laugh, has compassion, kindness, and an accurately sized ego."

ANGELINA JOLIE came in 10th place.

If there's one thing that'll cause the most controversy on the list, it's this:  BRITNEY SPEARS came in FOURTH.  Out of 100.  Seriously?!

Here's the Top 10 . . .

Duggar Suffers Miscarriage Posted December 9, 2011 by Storm Avery

MICHELLE DUGGAR is the woman who has 19 children and is on that TLC show, "19 Kids and Counting".  Well sadly, she's just suffered a miscarriage.  Michelle's pregnancy was about five months along.

Michele told "People" magazine, "The Lord is the giver of life and he can choose when that life is ready to go on and be with Him."

The Duggar's previous child, #19, has been in and out of the hospital with medical problems after being born FOUR MONTHS premature in December of 2009.  The baby, a girl named Josie, was born through an emergency C-section, and only weighed one-pound and six ounces.

This is also Michelle's second miscarriage.  She lost the baby during her second pregnancy.  She was taking birth control at the time . . . and later said it was one of the reasons they decided to leave the number of children they have "up to God."

25,000 Angry Christmas Lights

John Storms loves Angry Birds so much that he transformed his Round Rock, TX home into an homage to the game.

The music he used is a cover of the Angry Bird's theme song by Pomplamoose.  He said that it only took him about 2 hours to program the lights after hearing the song.

Regis Philbin's Last Day Posted November 18, 2011 by Storm Avery

As you probably know, today is REGIS PHILBIN'S last day on "Live".  And while he's not sure exactly how he feels about walking away, he does agree it's time.

In an interview with E! News, he says, "I feel pretty good, I'm not saying I'm gonna feel as good on Monday down there in Miami, but right now . . .

"I wasn't looking forward to this moment . . . you never are in your life . . . especially when you're leaving a success that you worked your tail off to make, and it's here.  And why not hang around and enjoy it?  But I have and it's time really to move on…"

As for who's going to replace him as KELLY RIPA'S co-host, Regis says he's not getting involved . . . "Frankly I'd like to stay out of it . . . I don't wanna disappoint other people who are looking for the job."

"Kelly is a great little storyteller in her own right.  I tell ya, it's not as easy as it looks, this co-hosting thing.  It just wasn't for me.  So we'll see what happens, I'm interested myself to see who gets it."

What's next for Regis?  He said that he would love to host SNL.  But he thinks that they might want someone younger who plays a vampire to host the show.  And he said that he won't do "Dancing with the Stars."  They have asked him several times, but he keeps turning them down.

Star Reveals Rockefeller Christmas Tree Star Posted November 17, 2011 by Storm Avery

Actress Olivia Wilde joined Swarovski yesterday to unveil the 2011 Swarovski star crowning the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

The 2011 Swarovski Star is made up of 25,000 crystals.  The star measures 9 1/2 feet in diameter and is 1 1/2 feet deep. The star weighs 550 pounds, including 300 pounds of crystal panels.

A team of nine artisans spent 1,200 hours installing, programming and testing the star to ensure the effects would withstand the challenging winter weather conditions 74-feet above Rockefeller Center.

An exact replica of the Swarovski Star will also be on display in Rockefeller Center to allow visitors the opportunity to get a closer view of the detailing and craftsmanship. After the reveal, the Star was raised atop the 74-foot-high, 46-foot wide, 10-ton Norway Spruce in Rockefeller Center, where it will sit for the remainder of the 2011 holiday season.

This is the eighth year a Swarovski Star tops the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. The 79th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on November 30th. The two-hour ceremony will be live on NBC.

What You May Not Know about Veterans Day Posted November 11, 2011 by Storm Avery

Today is Veterans Day, so remember:  Memorial Day is for remembering those who DIED in military service.  Veterans Day is to honor ALL veterans . . . both living and dead . . . the ones who served in wartime AND peacetime.

Here are six other interesting facts about Veterans Day you might not know.

#1.)  There Are Over 22 Million War Veterans Living in the U.S.  That's according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

It includes 1.7 million veterans from World War Two, 2.2 million from Korea, 7.3 million from Vietnam, 5 million from Afghanistan and Iraq, and 500,000 from the Persian Gulf War.

#2.)  Veteran's Day Was Originally Called "Armistice Day."  November 11th, 1919 was the first anniversary of the end of World War One.

And Armistice Day was originally supposed to honor veterans of THAT war.  But now it extends to ALL veterans.  Congress made it a national holiday in 1938, then renamed it Veterans Day in 1954.

#3.)  "God Bless America" Debuted on the Radio for Veteran's Day in 1938.  Irving Berlin wrote it in 1918, but it was another 20 years before he changed the lyrics and turned it into the version WE all know.

It actually debuted as part of an Armistice Day radio special on November 10th, the day BEFORE Veteran's Day.

#4.)  The Official Symbol of Veterans Day is the Poppy.  In 1918, a woman in Georgia named Moina Belle Michael read a John McCrae poem called "In Flanders Fields", and it inspired her to wear red poppies as a way of remembering.

The poem includes the line, "In Flanders fields the poppies blow / Between the crosses row on row."  (Flanders Fields is a World War One battleground and cemetery in Belgium.)

#5.)  The Motto of the Department of Veterans Affairs Is a Quote from Abraham Lincoln.  The motto is, "To care for him who shall have borne the battle."  It's from the final paragraph of Lincoln's second inaugural address.

#6.)  71% of Veterans Voted in the 2008 Presidential Election.  That's according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  63% of NON-veterans voted

In recognition of Veterans Day, The National WWII Museum is asking citizens to visit this special website to thank the brave men and women in uniform who protect our freedom.

The site is part of a new social media campaign entitled “Thank You For My Freedom,” to send expressions of gratitude to veterans of all ages and conflicts. The campaign aims to send one million Americans to the site where they can watch a heartwarming video and offer their thanks and best wishes to veterans by posting a personal photo, video or written message.

Duggars...20 Kids and Counting? Posted November 8, 2011 by Storm Avery

MICHELLE DUGGAR, from "19 Kids and Couting" on TLC, and her husband Jim Bob announced that they are expecting their 20th child on the "TODAY" show this morning.

Michelle said that she's over her first-trimester morning sickness and her cravings include dill pickles.  She said her doctors have given her the green light for this pregnancy, and so far she hasn't had any health worries.

The Duggars' 19 children range in age from 23 years to 23 months.  They are: Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, Josie. (Aren't they running out of J names?)

The season finale of "19 Kids and Counting" airs tonight on TLC, and you can catch a special on the family's travels to Scotland and Ireland on Sunday on TLC. (Today)

Do you think it's great that they have such a large family?  Or do you think they are doing a disservice to their kids by having so many?
