A Lansing man is jailed after leading police on a chase Wednesday night. 37-year old Chad DeWald is charged with assaulting a police officer and several weapons charges. Officers say they tried to stop DeWald while he was riding a bike Wednesday night. He rode away and eventually ditched the bike and starting running. Police chased him and he was arrested after tossing a gun down a riverbank.
