GREENE COUNTY, IND (WIBQ) - Close to 70 dogs were rescued from a Green County mobile home yesterday after authorities received a tip that the animals were living in cramped, unsanitary conditions. The dogs were reportedly well fed but suffered from a variety of ailments including flea infestations, intestinal parasites and a lack of preventative care.
The dog's owners claimed they intended to start an animal shelter and that many of the dogs were dropped off at their property, but they also took in strays. The dogs will be evaluated and given medical attention if needed. They will remain at a temporary shelter until they can be transported to other shelters in and out of the state.
