TERRE HAUTE (WIBQ) - The Vigo County Sheriff's Department is asking for the publics help hoping to locate the car and driver involved in a hit and run involving a bicyclist that happened late Monday afternoon. According to police, witnesses claim the driver and passenger in the vehicle switched places before speeding off after hitting the bicyclist, identified as Greg Bent.
The vehicle is believed to be similar to a late 1980's Oldsmobile Delta 88 with faded gold paint with a blue Indiana plate. The accident happened around 5PM Old Fort Harrison Avenue. Bent was treated and later released from Union Hospital with back injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
