PRARIETON, IN (WIBQ) - A 36 year old Terre Haute Man faces charges of receiving stolen property and driving while suspended following an incident early Thursday morning. Rodney Wells was arrested after he tried to get away from police investigating a shooting. Police say that Wells was stopped near a crime scene on Robertson Road.

As deputies tried to wave him past the scene, he allegedly made a U-turn and fled. Police chased him down and stopped the car. Wells told police he ran because he left his wallet at home. When cops checked they found Wells had a suspended license and the car he was in was reported stolen earlier in the week. Wells bail was set at $25,000.
