INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis police say a 4-year-old boy is being treated for a gunshot wound to the head after being found in an apartment with the bodies of two adults.
IMPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Thompson says the shooting deaths of 36-year-old Dante Roberts and 35-year-old Nicole James are being investigated as a murder-suicide. Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.
Police went to the apartment about 11:30 a.m. Monday after 4-year-old Corbin Harris's father told them he was unable to contact James, the boy's mother. After officers discovered the bodies and the wounded child about, Corbin was taken to Riley Hospital for Children. Thompson says his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.
Neighbors say they heard the couple arguing Sunday night.
