LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill (WIBQ)-A murder-for-hire lands a former Crawford County resident in prison.
The Lawrenceville Daily record reports Bruce Mendenhall was sentenced to 30 years on Friday.
A Tennessee jury found Mendenhall guilty in January.
He tried to hire people to kill 3 witnesses set to testify against him in a murder case.
Police say Mendenhall killed a woman at a Nasvhille truck stop in 2007.
He's set to go on trial for her death on May 10th.
Mendenhall is also a suspect in other truck stop murders.
