INDIANAPOLIS (WIBQ) — More than 250 Indiana law enforcement agencies plan to crack down on impaired and dangerous driving with a blitz starting Friday that runs for more than two weeks.

The high-visibility enforcement patrols to target impaired and aggressive drivers will run through Indiana's March basketball tournaments and the St. Patrick's Day holiday.

The Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute say the crackdown will be reinforced by a statewide advertising campaign.

The law enforcement agencies involved include some university police departments, rural agencies, and most of the state' most populous cities and counties.
