TERRE HAUTE (WIBQ)-A Wabash Valley charity is giving back after receiving donations from a local restaurant owner. The Crisis Pregnancy Center honored the owner of Terre Haute's IHOP restaurant.
Scott Womack was named the Outstanding Service Award Monday during a meeting at Olive Garden. Womack has volunteered for more than 14 years with the Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Crisis Pregnancy Center Executive Director Sharon Carey says "He just had a national pancake day, where all of the proceeds, the gifts that people gave after receiving a free stack of pancakes, he actually gave to the Crisis Pregnancy Center. This local IHOP restaurant raised about $1,200."
The Crisis Pregnancy Center offers free pregnancy and STD testing as well as support groups.
