TERRE HAUTE (WIBQ) - The Ballyhoo Tavern is now the first smoke-free bar in Terre Haute. The bar's business’s manager says that's what his customers wanted. For those who still wish to light up, the tavern will still offer about 40 seats on outside patios on both sides of the building. The Ballyhoo Tavern is at Ninth and Chestnut streets, next to the campus of Indiana State University.
The Vigo County Health Department is recommending to county comissioners a county-wide public indoor smoking ban.
