MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – A Marshfield man has been found guilty in a conspiracy to make and sell driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants in Wisconsin.

Ricardo Gonzales de Arcos claimed at trial that he did not know the licenses were being made illegally. He faces up to 15 years in prison on each of the three counts against him. A judge will sentence the 26-year-old Gonzales de Arcos on September 7th.

Gonzales de Arcos was one of six people indicted in the scheme in February.

Khue Vang, a former employee at the DMV office in Stevens Point, has pled guilty to accepting cash bribes. He will be sentenced August 30th. One of the man who paid bribes, Eric Silva of Stevens Point, has also pled guilty and will be sentenced August 19th.

A Madison man will be sentenced next month for making some of the fake IDs. Two other men remain fugitives in the case.
