COVERT, MI (WHTC News) - Officials at the Palisades nuclear power plant near Covert returned the facility to full service late yesterday morning, nearly one full week after it had been shut down for precautionary reasons due to a direct current breaker fault that affected lights and indicators in the main control room. No injuries or radiation leakage was reported. Plant, company and federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission investigators conducted what they called a thorough, week-long probe into the third shutdown of the plant in less than two months.
