MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – A plea deal is in the works for a Wausau man facing federal drug dealing charges.
Michael Lumbert’s attorney did not file any pre-trial motions before a deadline this week. His attorney told the judge it was a tactical decision and that he anticipates reaching a plea with the government ahead of trial.
Lumbert is scheduled to stand trial October 11th.
Lumbert is charged with dealing crack cocaine in November and January. He’s also charged with one count of possessing the drug with the intent to deliver. He faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
