Most years, flu season brings a lot of different illnesses to the area, but this year the Indiana State Department of Health is finding themselves facing an unfamiliar foe: the measles. There are two confirmed cases of the measles in Hamilton County and two more probable cases in Boone County. Officials believe the outbreak began after an infected person visited Super Bowl Village this weekend. Symptoms of the highly contagious virus include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes as well as a rash that forms on the face and upper neck and spreads to the rest of the body.
